Sparks vs Lynx: Post Game Thoughts

From the publisher - Tony Geer

OK. I try to get it.

As a fan I am very frustrated with the continuing losses and giving up 14 to 18 point leads both at home and on the road by the Minnesota Lynx.

What I see from where I sit is that the players are lacking COMPLETE trust in each other. I believe that trust is there but not completely. We do not hear of the players saying "She didn't do this" or "She didn't do that". In fact we sometimes hear "I need to do this better for us to win".

This is all well and good but they seem to be at a point where it is getting old for the fans and the media. So old for the media that when Coach sat down after the Sparks game and said "I have no opening statement. Any questions?" Not one of the 5 media representatives (including me) had something ready to ask in the 4 seconds we were given before coach said "Alright, thanks." then got up and left.

To be fair to Coach, she was very vocal when coming off the floor on the way to the looker room, expressing her anger at the outcome of the game, before coming across the hall to address the media. Most of us could hear or even see this. She did not duck the post game as much as she may have wanted to but she did her best to keep it short.

This now leads me to my question for this team. What will be harder for the Lynx to do - Make the playoffs or Not make the playoffs?

As much as the Sparks and the Silver Stars are basically in the same spot the Lynx are (3 teams fighting for 2 playoff spots), those 2 teams are ether losing games or falling into wins once in a while. At the same time the Lynx have lead in (by my memory) 90% of their games at some point to win only 30% of those (%'s are not researched but you get the point).

So I ask again due to the Lynx apparently able to shoot themselves in the foot so many times and survive it, what will be harder for the Lynx to do - Make the playoffs or Not make the playoffs?
