THE FOLLOWING WAS SENT TO US FROM COACH GRACE -Vinishia Jackson hit a free throw with 3.8 seconds to seal the win for the Lakers 52-51. The Lakers were up by 16 with 8 minutes to go, but Richfield led by Vanessa's Uko's 17 points kept the Spartan alive down the stretch.
The Lakers were led by Sophomore Guard Mariah Adanene with 18 points, 2 steals and 2 rebounds. The Lakers also got 9 points and 6 rebounds from Vinishia Jackson and 7 points and 7 rebounds from Aleyse Hunteman. The Lakers (4-1) begin Minneapolis City Conference play vs Patrick Henry at Southwest on Thursday.
