Richfield vs. Minneapolis Southwest

All I can say is WOW. This game really was one of those "You had to be there" games to get even close to a handle on all that was going on within this game. In the end, well, listen for yourself.

I was joined by Sam Williams from KMOJ in the first half and James Fassett of Anoka Ramsey Community College in the second half. James and I had some interesting discussions during the time outs that often went into the play coming out of the breaks but you fans stay caught up no problem.

I almost forgot - Cynthia Williams joins us at halftime to talk about her Minneapolis Henry program.

THE FOLLOWING WAS SENT TO US FROM COACH GRACE -

Vinishia Jackson hit a free throw with 3.8 seconds to seal the win for the Lakers 52-51. The Lakers were up by 16 with 8 minutes to go, but Richfield led by Vanessa's Uko's 17 points kept the Spartan alive down the stretch.

The Lakers were led by Sophomore Guard Mariah Adanene with 18 points, 2 steals and 2 rebounds. The Lakers also got 9 points and 6 rebounds from Vinishia Jackson and 7 points and 7 rebounds from Aleyse Hunteman. The Lakers (4-1) begin Minneapolis City Conference play vs Patrick Henry at Southwest on Thursday.
