Lynx Announce Local Broadcast Partners for 2009

The Lynx today announced their local broadcast partners for the upcoming 2009 WNBA season. FS North, beginning its 11th-consecutive year of broadcasting Lynx games, will televise locally a total of six Lynx games this summer, while BOB 106 will carry all 34 games on radio.


FS North's six-game schedule begins with the home opener on Saturday, June 6 vs. Sylvia Fowles and the Chicago Sky. The first 2,500 fans through the gates on the home opener will receive a Lynx 2009 regular-season magnet schedule.

Other highlights of the FS North television schedule include Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday, June 27 (7:00 p.m.), Lindsey Whalen and the Connecticut Sun on Friday, Aug. 7 (9:30 p.m., taped delay broadcast) and Sue Bird and the Seattle Storm on Saturday, Sept. 5 (7:00 p.m.). FS North will also broadcast the Lynx Kids Day Game on Wednesday, July 15 vs. Atlanta. Tip-off for the weekday matinee is 12:00 p.m.

BOB 106 returns for its fourth-straight season as Minnesota's radio partner. All 34 regular-season games will be broadcasted live over the air, as well as on wnba.com. Lynx broadcaster Alan Horton enters his second year calling games for the Lynx.
